We welcome membership applications from Jews by birth or by choice.

All initial membership enquiries should be addressed to the chairperson or the membership officer.

Details will be given of membership fees. We have a straightforward, transparent and fair fee structure.

Non-Jewish persons are welcome to join as friends of the synagogue. The reduced membership fee is available on application.

Members are entitled among other things to:

  • free entry to High Holiday services
  • a burial place at Loughborough Cemetery [click to download our funeral guide]
  • the services of our Rabbi at the funeral service
  • marriage services of rabbi (heterosexual couples); service of blessing by rabbi (interfaith couples and same-sex couples). For people between ages 20 and 35 there is an alternate scheme via the umbrella group Liberal Judaism, offering reduced fees and access to LJ events & communities in a general sort of way.  For details, click here.
